DIY Cape

So now that we're in the dead of winter, more like fall with the weather we're having in Chicago, I have found myself obsessing over capes. No not Super hero capes as my dad likes to joke with me, but fashionable capes. I saw a version of this one on P.S. I made this and it inspired me to go ahead and make my own. I found some plaid fabric on sale at Handcock Fabrics and when I got home I cut a half oval into the center top of the fabric and then cut a strip from the top to the bottom and used that as a belt. I am very pleased with how well it turned out and hope to add some pockets to the front and even some personal touches!
